Pharmacy is the science and practice of discovering, producing, preparing, dispensing, reviewing and monitoring medications, aiming to ensure the safe, effective and affordable use of medicines. It is a miscellaneous science as it links health sciences with pharmaceutical science with pharmaceutical sciences and natural sciences.
The B. Pharmacy is an under graduation academic degree conferred after completion of a four year program of studies. The course is carrier oriented and practice based with elaborate and comprehensive practical exposure through visit to technological institutions. Seminars and lectures by experts are an essential part of the curriculum. The 10+2 pass candidates with medical and non-medical background are eligible to join this course. The degree enables the students to work as professional Pharmacist in their respective field or eligible for Drug Inspector, Medical Representative, Pharmaceutical Industries, Pharmacy Officer in Government and Private Hospitals. They are also eligible to pursue higher education like M. Pharmacy, Pharm D and Ph. D integrated, etc.
