M Pharmacy(Pharmaceutics) Excellence at GNIP

M.Pharma(Pharmaceutics) or Master of Pharmacy(Pharmaceutics) at Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmacy (GNIP) is a two-year postgraduate course with four semesters, approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated with IKG-PTU, Jalandhar. The B.Pharm program educates graduate students in various fields of pharmacy such as industry, marketing, practice, community, drug discovery, etc., just to name a few. However, a graduate lacks in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in psychomotor skills in specialized areas of the pharmacy profession.

Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmacy (GNIP), with the aim of preparing students to face challenges in specialized areas of the pharmacy profession, has been offering the M.Pharma program in Pharmaceutics specialization for several years.

Assessment

First Year M.Pharma(Pharmaceutics)

Continuous and consistent evaluation of students through assignments, class tests and viva voce
Evaluation of seminars presented by the students
Periodic assessment of students by conducting three theory and two practical sessional examinations in each subject (internal examination)
A final theory university examination at the end of first academic year
A university practical examination at the end of first academic year
A minimum of 75% attendance and 50% of marks in theory and practical examinations are necessary to move to next level

Second Year M.Pharma(Pharmaceutics)

The students should carryout a research project and submit a thesis of their research work
The thesis will be evaluated by a panel of internal and external examiners
A viva voce examination will be conducted to evaluate the student’s research work.

Eligibility Criteria

Selection in M.Pharm(Pharmaceutics) in Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmacy is based on the marks secured in B.Pharmcy (minimum 50% marks general candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
